JMS of Doncaster was founded in 1989, offering haulage services based in Doncaster for almost 30 years. Founder of the company, John Sheard, is still the Managing Director today, very much running the company he founded nearly 30 years ago. Back in 1989 when he founded the company, John Sheard was offering deliveries and operating his business out of a single van.
Over a 28-year period, John has expanded the number of vehicles, and JMS of Doncaster now boast a fleet of vehicles of various sizes, including 44-TON Artics, 18-TON Curtainsiders with Tail Lifts, 7.5-TON Curtainsiders, Sprinter Van, Sprinter Pick Up, Trailers, Double Deck and Flat Bed. Our expanded fleet allows us to deliver a range of goods, and offer Same Day Delivery throughout the UK and areas of Europe, no matter how large or small your delivery is.
At JMS of Doncaster, we're also continuously improving on our environmental practices. Around 75% of our fleet is EURO 6 compliant, with our vehicles producing cleaner emissions than even some small cars! We're focusing on environmental risks and exposures, looking for improvement opportunities in our business activities within our internal operations, purchasing environmentally friendly products, reduce our pollution and enhance our employees' environmental awareness, encouraging them to carry out duties in an environmentally responsible manner.
This all carries forward to our Warehouse and Logistics services. We relocated JMS of Doncaster in 2007, and now have a 30,000 sqft warehouse and two acres of secure outdoor storage. We're taking steps to manage excessive energy consumption, maximise recycling efforts and reduce pollution in all of our major services.
Looking back on almost 30 years' experience in the Haulage industry, it's fantastic to see how much we've grown as a company - from humble beginnings, to a nationwide Haulage, Warehousing and Logistics company. We're always looking for the next step for JMS, and can't wait to see where the company heads in the next few years.
